Separating Together

Separating Together is a collaborative divorce practice group whose member
attorneys restrict their law practices to handling family matters, such as
separation and divorce, through non-adversarial, transformative
conflict resolution and settlement negotiation.

The Collaborative Process

The Collaborative Process as provided by Separating Together attorneys includes the following services: Initial consultations; Notice to Court to suspend litigation (as necessary); Review and organization of documents; Up to four 2-hour collaborative law sessions; Individual conferences with attorneys as necessary to prepare for the collaborative law sessions; Communications with attorneys by phone or e-mail; Preparation and review of a Marital Settlement Agreement; Filing a Divorce Complaint and Motion for Summary Divorce; Appearance in court or submission to Clerk for an uncontested divorce hearing; Filing of the final Divorce Decree.

The total of fees to cover the cost of two attorneys, one for each spouse, in the collaborative process and for the services outlined above typically range from $5,000 to $8,000.
