Jeffrey M. Seigle
Jeffrey M. Seigle is an advanced mediator, arbitrator, and attorney. He is married and has three young boys. Mr. Seigle received his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1977. He taught public school until attending Campbell School of Law from which he graduated in 1983. Following law school, Mr. Seigle opened a sole law practice in Raleigh. His practice has included family law, juvenile law, bankruptcy law, and real estate law. Mr. Seigle also practiced as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of North Carolina litigating tort claims and workers’ compensation cases.
While practicing juvenile law Mr. Seigle helped successfully litigate the class action lawsuit brought against the state of North Carolina because of overcrowding in the juvenile detention facilities, thereby improving conditions and requiring delivery of psychological services to incarcerated youth. Mr. Seigle was thereafter appointed to the Governor’s Juvenile Crime Commission.
Mr. Seigle currently has a sole law practice restricted to Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has certificates in Family Mediation and Superior Court Mediation. He is an instructor for the ADR clinics at NC Central Law School and Campbell Law School, and teaches mediation and arbitration for UNC Health Systems and the NC State Office of Personnel. Mr. Seigle has mediated and arbitrated numerous cases in the areas of family, criminal, contract and commercial law. He is a co-founder of the Carolina Collaborative Law Group.
